School Transportation

Elementary and High school dismissal time is 14:30. For students authorized transportation, bus transportation is provided by MCAS Iwakuni and reimbursed by DoDDS. The bus is furnished to students who are required to live beyond the one-mile walking distance from school but live within the identified commuting zone. Parents of students living beyond the commuting zone are responsible for getting their children to the closest bus stop. Problems concerning bus transportation should be called to the attention of the Transportation Officer, 253-5449. Supervision during loading and unloading of buses at the school is the responsibility of the school.

Student discipline on the buses en route is the responsibility of the Commanding Officer. For disciplinary matters the Commanding Officer has the authority to discontinue bus privileges for students. Students ride their assigned bus unless they have a written request from their parents.
