Each May, parents must re-register students for the following school year. Re-registration consists of verifying or correcting the information on the current registration form. The sponsor's signature is NOT required for re-registration. Re-registration also includes a stop in the nurse's office. We ask you to review your child's health record for any changes in their health condition. (For example, newly prescribed medications that will be administered on a daily basis, new glasses, allergies, asthma, etc.) Your child's immunization records are also reviewed and updated at that time.
The school office and the classroom teacher should be notified of the imminent departure of students from Iwakuni as soon as the sponsor receives orders. Parents must come to the main office and fill out a Withdrawal/Records Request form at least two weeks prior to the last day of attendance. A copy of the sponsors orders must be submitted with the request. If the child is leaving due to Early Return of Dependents, then a letter from the command must be submitted. Copies of the child's record will be available for the parent to pick up at the end of the school day on the last day of attendance.
