Parent Teacher Organization
The Matthew C. Perry High School Parent Teacher Organization Booster Club is a non-profit organization. The purpose of the PTO is the furtherance of the educational and social welfare of the students at Matthew C. Perry High School.
Membership is open to members of the Matthew C. Perry High School faculty and their spouses, to parents and guardians of Matthew C. Perry High School students and to Status-of-Forces-Agreement (SOFA) adults in Iwakuni. Membership becomes effective with registration and the payment of dues to the organization and expires on August 1. Membership dues are $10.00 per person per school year or any part of a school year. Meetings of the PTO members are held quarterly.
You will find members of the PTO around base raising funds for school activities. The PTO helps fund such things as trips to the extracurricular Far East competitions and new uniforms for athletic teams. In addition, every spring the PTO awards scholarships to M.C. Perry graduating seniors.
